READ! READ! READ! all of the instructions before beginning. Create one video podcast using Windows Movie Maker. You will need headphones for this task.
You will have up to four days to complete one video podcast. This is individual work--not groups or partners. There are several students assigned to each question but this is NOT collaborative.
Find your name from the following list and complete the assigned question(s). Using video and audio files provided in the Interactive Design Pickup Folder, capture the appropriate segments to answer your category question(s). Dress it up--effects, titles, music, etc. You may use resources from the TRCM or Indian and Northern Affairs websites giving credit to these pages on a credit slide. Everything is marks, marks, marks! Your exam is worth 25% of the final mark.
These podcasts are to be informative so that anyone viewing your podcast will be clear on the question(s) that you are answering.
Begin the podcast by asking your question and/or outlining what you are talking about. Then proceed to supply the answer.
You may use any of the video and audio provided but you will need to split and cut the parts that do not pertain to your topic question(s). Here’s how to do that:
First, Create a new Windows Movie Maker Project
Import the video and audio and add these to the timeline.
Using the Clip>Split and Edit>Cut features, chop out the pieces that you don’t need for your question(s). You may have to chop several times to get the segments that you need.
Mute the audio on the video clip and use the soundtrack parts provided in the audio MP3 file.
Be sure to sync the sound to the voice by moving the clips on the timeline.
Save your Project file. Save As Movie file.
Upload your podcast to the MSInnovation Project wiki to the Exam Part 1 page. Be sure to type your name and enter the podcast as a video widget beneath your name.
